Joan Pearson Watkins House

In spring 2018, Watershed purchased a 2,000+ sq. ft. home on 22 acres of land adjacent to our main campus. This new property creates much-needed space to expand our public offerings. The house includes ADA compliant spaces for artist talks and community events, a gallery, and year-round administrative offices. The additional land nearly doubles our campus size and enables us to host outdoor public events and exhibitions.

Watershed is grateful for support from the following individuals and foundations whose gifts enabled the purchase and renovation of the Joan Pearson Watkins House:

  • The Joan Pearson Watkins Trust for purchase of the property
  • Chester and Muriel Dawes Charitable Foundation for renovations to the house
  • Hope and Mel Barkan in support of the art gallery
  • Elizabeth Kendall and Steve Howard for renovations to the executive director’s office
