Clay in Our Environment Inquiry

Complete this form to begin the process of setting up a "Clay in Our Environment" program with a Watershed teaching artist. We will follow up with you to make additional arrangements and provide a final price quote.

  • Please list the name and contact info for the person who is responsible for payments.
  • This program is suitable for students in grades 6-12.
  • Please share when you would like to schedule your clay instruction. A range of dates is helpful. Please note that digging clay is a seasonal activity and cannot be done when the ground is frozen.
  • The "Clay in Our Environment" lesson offers a variety of options, from discussing clay in the classroom, to digging clay during a fieldtrip, clay processing, or completing a group project. Please describe a bit about what you envision your students participating in during this workshop.
  • Do you anticipate that you would like to have your students' pieces kiln fired by a Watershed teaching artist? The fee to fire work is $150. Teachers are responsible for retrieving work from Hallowell Clay Works within 14 days of being notified that work is complete.
