Support Art

2024 has been a banner year for Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts.

With support from fine folks like you, Watershed continues to ensure artists have time and space to work, experiment, explore, and grow—while we grow alongside them. Our new resident-life building, the Commons, was completed for the start of our summer residencies. This ribbon-cutting marked the culmination of a six-year-long campus renovation in order to realize our long-held dreams: to expand our artist residencies and public programs year-round.

With our new facilities, amazing staff, and a devoted board, we are poised for incredible growth. We’re asking you to make a donation to Watershed today so we can fully activate our potential.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Watershed is ready to build on our legacy and invigorate ceramics with new possibilities.

With your help, we can:

  • Increase the number of residencies we offer and artists who experience Watershed;
  • Amplify contemporary ceramic artists from diverse backgrounds and their practices;
  • Showcase a broad array of ceramic artists through new exhibitions and lectures;
  • Offer more workshops exploring new techniques and skills being used in clay today;
  • Inspire teachers across Maine with special K–12 programs at low or no cost to them; and
  • Provide greater access to the ceramic arts and its benefits of community, creation, and artistic growth.
