Juried Winter Artist Residency
Artists are selected based on merit. Selections are made based on recommendations from a review committee of field professionals.
Duration: September 15, 2008 - May 15, 2009
Compensation/Benefits:
Private room in shared cabin with community kitchen located in
main house and shared studio space at Watershed; Spring group
exhibition option; other benefits available to all past Watershed
residents, such as opportunities to sell work at
events and invitations to exhibit in group shows.
Costs & Fees: $150/month residency fee; $325/month utilities fee; materials and firings. Housing security deposit due on acceptance.
If you also wish to apply to be an Intern or Salad Days Artist, you must send a seperate application packet including an additional application fee.
Postmark deadline is March 1, 2008.

Howard Kottler Residency Fellowship
One nine-month Residency Fellowship is awarded each winter to a ceramic artist of exceptional talent. Fellowship recipient is selected from within the juried winter residency applicants and is provided housing, studio, and utilities; materials and firings are paid seperately. Selected from Juried Winter Artist Resident Applicants. No separate application required.
Duration: September 15, 2008 - May 15, 2009
Compensation/Benefits: Private room in shared cabin with community kitchen located in main house and shared studio at Watershed; Spring group exhibition option; and other benefits available to all past Watershed residents, such as opportunities to sell work at events and invitations to exhibit in group shows.
Costs & Fees: Materials and firings, housing security deposit upon acceptance

Salad Days Artist
The Salad Days Resident Artist is commissioned to produce 500 plates for Watershed's annual July fundraising event Salad Days.
Duration: 12 months beginning September 2008
Compensation/Benefits: Salad Days Artist plates and works will be
featured in print and on-line publications of Watershed, in addition to local and regional advertisements and press. All benefits to the Juried
Winter Artist Residency Awardees are extended to the Salad Days Artist in the winter, and all benefits of the Summer Residents are extended to
the Salad Days Artist in the summer (including meals!).
Costs & Fees: Personal materials and firings, housing security deposit
due on acceptance.
Postmark deadline is March 1, 2008.

Internship
The internship program is a combination of residency and practical working experience. The mission of the program is to provide 'real life'
experience and opportunity in an active and supportive non-profit arts organization while also working in a community of artists and art professionals.
Interns work alongside Watershed staff and in the studio as a resident artist. Some duties in the past have included: mailings, website work, representing
and talking about Watershed at events (Earth Science Day, Schools, NCECA), preparing for Watershed events (Board Retreats, Craft Boston, Chowdah Suppah,
Firing Workshops, Mudseason Meetings), and assisting in the resident jurying processes for Winter and Summer.
Duration:
Two Positions:
Fall: Sept 15 2008 - Dec 15, 2008
Spring: Jan 15, 2009 - April 15, 2009
Or
One Position:
September 15, 2008 - May 15, 2009
Compensation/Benefits: Private room in shared cabin with community kitchen located in main house and shared studio space at Watershed.
Internship participants work 20 paid hours per week ($7.50/hr), with a Watershed staff advisor who will offer professional supervision on the job
to gain experience through participation in the daily activities of the internship.
Internship Fee: Participants pay $750/month (includes housing, studio, and utilities) and are responsible for their own food. Housing
security deposit due on acceptance.
