Summer Fees

Artists-in-Residence Fee: $1375, per two-week session, includes dorm housing, meals, and studio

Rates, per person, to upgrade to the Cabins for two-week residency:

Shared Bath Private Bath
Double $175 $525
Single $450 $725

Deposit: A deposit of 50% of the total session fee is due on notification of acceptance. The remainder is to be paid 30 days before residency begins.

Refund Policy: 100% refund if a participant cannot be accommodated in the session requested, 50% refund on cancellations 30 days prior to the session start. No refund on cancellations within 30 days of session start date.

Additional Expenses: Dry Watershed clay is free. Other clay and glaze materials are charged at reasonable prices. Firing fees are charged per kiln, with the cost split by kiln users.



Salad Days Artist

The Salad Days Resident Artist is commissioned to produce 500 plates for Watershed's annual July fundraising event Salad Days.

Duration: 3 months - May 30-August 30, 2010

Compensation/Benefits: Private room in shared cabin, meals, large studio, materials and firings; other benefits available to all past Watershed residents, such as opportunities to sell work at events and invitations to exhibit in group shows.

Salad Days Artist plates and works will be featured in print and on-line publications of Watershed, in addition to local and regional advertisements and press.

Postmark deadline is Feb 15, 2010.

Fall Residency

This six-week residency provides ample time to explore ideas as well as produce a body of work. A panel of field professionals will select eight artists forming a dynamic environment ripe for creative interaction and self-directed exploration. This is a new and unique opportunity at Watershed for artists to immerse themselves in the studio, free of the distractions of their usual environment while taking advantage of our extensive facilities.

Duration: 6 weeks - September 1 - October 15, 2010

Residency Fee: Participants pay $2200; includes housing (private room in shared cabin) and large studio; residents are responsible for their own food, materials and firings. 50% deposit due upon acceptance. Balance due August 1.

Heath Tile Residency

Utilizing (thousands of) tile donated by Heath Ceramics this six-week residency provides one artist the opportunity to design and install a tile installation in one of the cabin baths at Watershed.

Duration: 6 weeks - September 1 - October 15, 2010

Residency Fee: The Heath Tile Resident pays no fee, and is provided housing (private room in shared cabin) and large studio. Resident is responsible for their own food. Tile installation materials will be provided by Watershed.

Postmark deadline is May 1, 2010.
